Welcome to my new blog

Posted on Updated on

Hi and welcome to the first post of my new blog, I have decided to start blogging after a break of almost 2 years from my old Tech Lemur blog. I also intend to get back into using twitter more. I can’t really believe it’s been that long where does the time goes. With my new blog I will be focusing on three categories.E-learning

The first being “e-learning”, in this category I want to discuss not only how using online technologies can be used to help aid children and young people in their learning. But also different techniques and teaching methods that can help effective learning take place. I hope to be able to use examples of different projects that are happening not only in my school but show what is happening in other schools as well.

mentoringThe second category I am going to be blogging about is “Mentoring” this section will primarily focus on helping out PGCE students and NQT’s. I have been a Generic Tutor for PGCE students and involved with mentoring NQT’s for many years and have helped many of them pass and get jobs. This category will contain posts that some more established teachers might take as common knowledge, but I hope that PGCE students and NQT’s will find them useful helping them in their careers as a teachers.Technology

In the final category I will be blogging about “Technology” In this category I will be looking at new innovative technology that might be used not only in education but in day-to-day life. I have a real passion for technology and there are some amazing innovations out there from new websites to new mobile phones. I intend to find out about what I consider the most useful and innovative technologies and blog about them here.

Thank you very much for reading this far, please subscribe via email to this blog so you don’t miss out on any posts.
